THE KENTISH TAP IS COMING TO HADLOW, KENT, NEAR TONBRIDGE
Beloved Local Pub The Rose Revived Enters Exciting New Chapter with Kentish Tap Takeover
A much-loved local pub is stepping into an exciting new era as The Rose Revived comes under the new stewardship of local taproom The Kentish Tap.
While the historic name above the door will remain proudly in place, the experience inside is being completely refreshed — bringing an expanded drinks selection, a delicious modern food offering, and a renewed focus on music events.
A Bar Built Around Local Flavour
The refurbished bar will feature 12 taps, pouring a rotating selection of beers, ciders and lagers, with a strong emphasis on producers from the local area. A large blackboard menu will showcase everything currently available, encouraging guests to discover new favourites and seasonal specials.
Modern British Pub Food with a Twist
Food will take centre stage, with a menu built around quality Kent produce. The new kitchen direction combines classic pub dishes with creative modern touches, focusing on bold flavours, thoughtful presentation, and broad appeal. Read about our head chef here
Sundays are also receiving a major upgrade. The traditional carvery is being replaced with a refined Sunday roast experience, featuring perfectly cooked local meat from Sevenoaks, rich gravies, local seasonal vegetables and all the traditional trimmings — a move that has already impressed early tasters.
A Community-Family Friendly Pub
Beyond food and drink, The Rose Revived aims to re-establish itself as a lively hub for the local community. A regular programme of events is planned, including:
Weekly live music on Friday night's - follow our gig guide here
Monthly quiz nights
Summer music camping weekends
Bonfire Night celebrations in November
Charity events
The team behind The Kentish Tap say their goal is to create a warm, welcoming space that celebrates local flavours, great drinks and good company.
The Managing Director of The new Kentish Tap said:
“We recognise the out of date offerings at The Rose Revived and are so excited to be teaming up with local businesses to create this amazing collaborative space. It’s going to be amazing for Kent and a real destination if you want to try the best of what Kent produces.”
Reopening Event
The pub will officially unveil its new look and menu at a Grand Reopening Event on Friday 6th March. Guests attending the celebration will be able to sample dishes from the new menu and enjoy complimentary tastings of beers, ciders, gins and lagers. Meet some of the local farmers, producers and brewers!
The reopening offers visitors the chance to experience a refreshed venue while retaining the heart, heritage and character that have made The Rose Revived a local favourite for years.
Be our guest.
